We love hearing from so many nice friends!

You make us so proud!

Dave Kronk, through frequent interaction during our American Council for the Blind conventions reverses many of the negative perceptions and reservations that some of our members have regarding taking cruises.  It was clever of Mr. Kronk to come to our convention and talk about the idea of group cruising.  Dave works together with ACB, Carnival Cruise Line & Princess Cruises and arranges for a series of service features for his clients.  On one of our cruises we had about 90 folks and 20 guide dogs who shared adventurous experiences together

In my department we specialize in groups with special needs and we have a good working relationship with Dave Kronk.  When we had a group sail on the Triumph it was our first blind group.  It was very successful.  We, at Carnival, took steps to make Dave’s clients feel welcome onboard and even like VIP’s.  Working together with Dave we were able to translate business materials into Braille and large print for the guests.  After a day onboard, our new friends probably knew the ship better than we did.  And in a few cases, some of Dave’s clients opted to go off ship on their own to explore ports independently without an escort rather than partake of one of the planned shore excursions.  They are amazing!

A fascinating thing about our blind and low vision cruisers is that around 90% of them choose to take an outside stateroom with a private balcony.  They tell me it is because they want to hear the ocean every day and listen to the sounds as we arrive in the different ports of call.  And we’ve travelled to lots of places like the British Isles, the Panama Canal, the Mexican Riviera, Alaska and all around the Caribbean.

I love cruising with Dave because he always makes sure that everyone has a great time. He even takes care of making sure all the needs for myself and my guide dog are communicated to the cruise line and completely addressed before we even get onboard the ship. He gives us choices of tours that he and his crew would assist on or he let’s us be flexible and choose one on our own.  Dave also makes sure we have menus ahead of time in email, Braille and large print.  One of the cool things that Dave provides are deck directions to make it easier to navigate around the ship.  Above all, Dave travels with his groups so he is always there to serve as a liaison between you and the cruise line to ensure everything goes great on the cruise.

I have taken four of Dave Kronk’s cruises, and each one has been a wonderful experience, thanks to his coordination, hard work and unflagging efforts.  In every case Dave went far beyond the call of duty.  He made my trips easy by handling everything from scheduling flights, reserving hotel rooms, making cruise and shore excursion arrangements.  He even helped complete my customs documents when we took overseas trips.  Dave’s efforts didn’t stop there.  During the trips, Dave and his assistants helped orient us to the hotel and ship if needed.  Dave and his crew served as guides on our tours and even went shopping with us so we could find the perfect souvenirs.  He even arranged for us to have Braille menus and a Braille listing of the deck layouts. Dave works tirelessly to make it possible for blind people like me to travel independently.  He is more than my travel agent and tour director. Dave has become my friend.

Dave always provides an all encompassing cruise experience that turns inspirational dreams into reality that provides up-close, hands-on explorations whenever possible.  From afternoon tea in England, pub crawls in Ireland, ziplining the rain forests of the Caribbean, train rides in Germany, watching folk dancers in Russia, exploring Mexico’s Mayan ruins or just frolicking in the ocean of a sunny Hawaiian beach.  When we cruise with Dave its like vacationing with family and friends.  He really excels at pleasing his clients by meeting their needs and expectations with respect, friendliness while offering “as much” or “as little” assistance as deemed important or meaningful to clients on an individual basis.  Yes, the first time we were quite apprehensive traveling as a blind couple.  We imagined it to be possible only through books we had read.  Then in 2008 we heard about Dave Kronk’s cruises set up specifically for us visually impaired people and we have been hooked ever since.  So come enjoy the exhilarating fun of exploring the vast world we live in while making new friends.  Indulge your passions and see what memorable moments are waiting for you.

Dave not only provides special extra services that make cruising with him so easy and comfortable, but beyond that, he is so very much fun!  He laughs and jokes and teases, creating such a relaxed and memorable fun-loving experience.  I keep cruising with him because he and his wife, Sharon, make me feel like part of a family.

I really look forward to the cruising experience with Dave & See Sea Trips because I don’t have to worry about anything other than what I’m going to pack. Transportation, cruise documents, flight arrangements, tours and shore excursions all taken care of for me. Great!

Dave Kronk provides this for all his guests.  He makes your travel plans a breeze, since he takes care of arranging the on board cabins, the dinner time arrangements, the flight information, the excursions off the ship and any other paper work needed for the trip.  He also makes your flight arrangements and if you need assistance he will also meet your plane to assist you to the exit where he has a ride to your hotel.  All arranged ahead of time. If you need help with choosing an excursion or just want time on your own off the ship, he will send you all the information you need ahead of time.  Dave does this for all his guests, sighted or blind.  If you are traveling on your own there’s no need to worry because he will pair you up with a guide to help you maneuver your way around the ship or into the town.  When we are ready to make plans for a cruise we just call Dave and tell him where we want to go and he does all the searching for us including hotels and rides to the shore to meet the ship.  Dave is always polite, courteous to the young and old and is always ready to answer your questions.  When you go with Dave you do not need to worry about anything.  He takes care of all of it for you.  It is well worth your money to travel with Dave.  Come join the fun and enjoy a worry free cruise.
